A Pre-Bid
Conference will be held by the Housing Authority at the AMHA
Administration Building, 100 West Cedar Street, Akron, Ohio
44307, on TUESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
All bids must be
accompanied by a bid guarantee which shall be in the form of
either: a) a bond secured by a surety company acceptable to
the U. S. Government and authorized to do business in the
State of Ohio. The amount of the bond shall be for the full
(100%) amount of the bid, plus alternates; b) a certified
check, cashier’s check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of
credit. The amount of the certified check, bank draft,
irrevocable letter of credit shall be in the amount of ten
percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, plus alternates.
The Bid Guarantee shall insure the execution of the contract
and the furnishing of a method of assurance of completion by
the successful bidder. The assurance of completion shall
be: (1) a performance and payment bond in the penal sum of
100 percent (100%) of the full amount of the contract; (2) a
twenty percent (20%) cash deposit; or (3) a twenty five
percent (25%) irrevocable letter of credit.
